How was Ancient Egypt Governed?
Ancient Egypt was governed by pharaohs. Pharaohs are basically kings and/or queens. The pharaohs were the political and religious leader. Egyptians thought that pharaohs were half man, half god. Ancient Egyptians were ruled by a monarchy, which means the next ruler was born into the family. Monarchy doesn't allow people to vote, and so the Egyptians didn't choose who was their next ruler.
